Succesfuld start på nyt dansk-kinesisk filmsamarbejde

I august blev spiren lagt til det første dansk-kinesiske filmtalent-samarbejde, der blev fulgt op af en talent camp i Chengdu i slutningen af oktober.

I august fik Odense besøg af 10 udvalgte kinesiske filmtalenter, der mødtes med 10  danske filmtalenter under Odense Filmværksteds Talentcamp.

Resultatet af lange og intensive workshopdage med masterclasses, pitching og feedback var fem små film, som havde verdenspremiere i Cafebiografen fredag d. 1. september.

Talent-campen er et tilbagevendende initiativ hos Odense Filmværksted, men hvor campen hidtil har været for europæiske filmtalenter, er de udenlandske deltagere for første gang fra Kina.

Campen i Odense har som overskrift fiktion, og de unge deltager i Odense Internationale Filmfestival (OFF). Campen i Chengdu sætter fokus på dokumentar.

Formål er kompetenceudvikling og erfaringsudveksling. De unge skal inspirere hinanden, lære nye produktionsmetoder og tilgange til film- og tv-mediet. Omdrejningspunktet er storytelling, og metode er pitching, coaching og feedback. Den gode historie er i centrum.

Masterclasses i Odense og Chengdu: Under campen vil deltagerne modtage sparring, støtte og undervisning fra branchefolk Oscar-vinder Martin Strange-Hansen, australsk prisvinder Linda Aronson, manuskriptforfatter, fotograf Alberto Claro, Wang Bo, filminstruktør og Associate Professor ved School of Visual Arts, New York, Zhou Hao, dokumentarfilminstruktør og dommer ved Taipei Golden Horse Awards, instruktør Chen Zhong, Beijing og Shao Xiao Li, instruktør, manuskriptforfatter og producer fra Beijing Film Academy.

Talent Campen tilbydes til i alt 20 udvalgte danske og kinesiske filmskabere. 10 fra hvert land, som får mulighed for at udvikle deres filmkompetencer og skabe professionelle netværk.

Badmintonspiller Viktor Axelsen er ambassadør for talentcampen. Han er om nogen den allerbedste fortaler for, hvad det vil sige at sætte sit talent i spil og dygtiggøre sig gennem fokuseret og disciplineret arbejde..
